Finding Purpose Through Helping Others Heal
My path to becoming a therapist didn’t follow a straight line. I felt called to this work in my 40s, after navigating a few career twists and challenges of my own. While those earlier chapters didn’t always make sense at the time, they helped me better understand resilience, change, and the complexity of being human. That life experience now shapes the way I show up in the therapy room with humility, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.
I truly love walking alongside people as they do the meaningful, often brave, work of healing and growth. There’s something incredibly powerful about witnessing someone begin to lighten the emotional burdens they've been carrying sometimes for years, and start to see real, lasting change in their lives. It’s a privilege I never take for granted.
I bring warmth and compassion to my work but I’m also direct, clear, and willing to ask the hard questions. I believe growth happens when we’re gently but honestly challenged, and I’m not afraid to shine a light on the places where you might be stuck or holding back. My goal isn’t to give you easy answers—it’s to help you access your own insight, strength, and clarity. Together, we’ll get to the heart of what’s holding you back and explore real, sustainable ways forward.
I use approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to help clients deepen their self-awareness, process past experiences, and reconnect with their strengths. But more than anything, I focus on building a trusting relationship because that’s where real change begins.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to make meaningful changes in your life, I’d be honoured to support you.
WHO I WORK BEST WITH
I work best with people who are ready to dive beneath the surface.
You might not have all the answers—and that’s completely okay. But you are open. Open to looking inward, to getting curious about your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and to trying new ways of approaching life, even when it feels uncomfortable at first.
My ideal clients are often thoughtful, self-aware, and emotionally attuned—or at least interested in becoming more so. You may already notice your inner dialogue, recognize your triggers, or feel the weight of repeating the same patterns—and you're ready for something to shift.
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from this work. Many of my clients come to therapy because they want more clarity, more peace, and more authenticity in how they live and relate to others. They're motivated to do the work it takes to grow, even when that means sitting with hard feelings or challenging long-held beliefs.
If you're someone who:
● Is aware of your emotions and inner dialogue (or wants to be),
● Is ready to take responsibility for your healing,
● Is open to exploring new perspectives and trying new tools,
● And is willing to be honest—with yourself and with me—
…then we may be a great fit.
Therapy with me is an active, collaborative process. I’ll walk alongside you with warmth and respect, helping you stay connected to your goals while honoring your pace.
If this sounds like the kind of space you’ve been looking for, I’d love to connect.
