Internal Family System (IFS) is a gentle , effective , and deeply respectful approach to therapy. At its core , IFS is based on the idea that we all have different part within us; distinct inner voices, feeling, or patterns that shows up in different situations. You might already recognize some of your parts: the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the anxious part, the perfectionist, the part that shut down, or the part that tries to stay in control.

These parts aren`t flaw, they are protective , often developed in response to pain or stress. Each one has its own perspective and purpose, even if its strategies no longer serve you.

IFS also holds that beneath all these parts is your core Self, a grounded, wise, compassionate presence that can help bring calm, clarity, and healing to your internal system.

HOW IFS FITS INTO THERAPY PROCESS

  • Helping those parts feel heard and understood, so they don’t have to work so hard.

  • Accessing your self calm, compassionate centre within you to lead the healing process.

You don’t have to force anything. Fix anything, or make your parts go away, Instead, we’ll focus on creating a safe, supportive space where all parts of you can be seen, respected, and gently invited into change.
